Levi Strauss & Co. is happy to provide photographs to illustrate books or magazine articles. Here are the steps to follow to obtain photos:
- Manuscripts or photo captions must be submitted to the company for fact-checking before any illustrations will be provided.
- For works on the history of denim, jeans, biographies of Levi Strauss or other historical topics, submit your material to Lynn Downey, LDowney@levi.com. E-mail the material as an attachment in Word format. Use the body of the e-mail to describe the type of photos you are looking for or request information about the images that are available for your particular manuscript.
- For works on current strategies, marketing or other contemporary topics, submit your material to Jeff Beckman, JBeckman@levi.com. E-mail the material as an attachment in Word format. Use the body of the e-mail to describe the type of photos you are looking for or request information about the images that are available for your particular manuscript.
- For works on corporate citizenship, submit your material to Kelley Benander, kbenander@levi.com E-mail the material as an attachment in Word format. Use the body of the e-mail to describe the type of photos you are looking for or request information about the images that are available for your particular manuscript.
- Due to the volume of requests we receive, please allow two weeks for a response.
- Illustrations in jpg format can be e-mailed at no charge.
- Hi-resolution digital images are provided for a fee of $15 per image plus $25 for a CD. Hi-res photography is provided by Visual Presentation, who will bill you directly.
