Thanksgiving is almost here—and we’re getting hungry just thinking about it! Yet, while Thanksgiving is synonymous with tables full of food and quality family time, it’s also a reminder to think back upon the year and give thanks for the things we have.

So while much of the country prepares for time with family, trips back home, and cooking elaborate Thanksgiving feasts we wanted to acknowledge the things we’re thankful for here at LS&Co.

And it turns out; we have a long list! From our great employees to a legacy of philanthropy, we have a lot to be thankful for and we’re excited for what’s to come. Here are five things we’re grateful for this Thanksgiving:

  1. Employees that do inspiring things in—and out—of the workplace. Our employees are among the best (although, of course, we’re biased!). We’re constantly inspired by the work they do, both in and out of the office. From our talented designers, to the many dedicated employees who donate their time to initiatives like Habitat for Humanity, we couldn’t be more proud—and thankful—for our team, which spans continents and multiple time zones. And Twitter lit up last week when LS&Co. EVP Anne Rohosy spoke at the Social Innovation Summit on the responsibility for major companies to improve the lives of women everywhere.  She also wrote a moving LinkedIn post on the topic.Levi's Plaza San Francisco, CA
  2. Working with truly great partners. This year, we’re extremely thankful for all of the great philanthropic organizations we work with—from Edgewood Center for Children and Family, an organization that we’ve been working with for over 160 years, to Goodwill, which helped us launch the project and continues to generate jobs both locally and across the U.S. We’re grateful to be working with such inspiring partners to help improve the planet and the lives of people in need.
  3. A foundation that’s pioneering new methods of philanthropy. We’re extremely grateful for the hard and dedicated work of the Levi Strauss Foundation. This year on the blog, we spoke with Stanley Wong about the HERProject and empowering women around the globe to improve health, education, and financial freedom for factory workers. We’re so inspired by LSF’s work with La Cocina, an initiative that seeks to help women launch their own small businesses in SF. And we’re certainly proud of LSF for the Pioneers in Justice initiative, which aims to innovate philanthropic models around the world.
  4. Brands with history and unique identities, and the consumers who love them. We’ve been moved by the many stories coming out of our Live in Levi’s campaign, which features artists, bloggers, musicians, and visionaries living life to the fullest in their Levi’s. We’re so thankful for our customers, who have shared great stories with us about their favorite Levi’s product and the great work they get done in them. We’re thankful for four iconic brands Levi’s®, Dockers, Signature, and Denizen—and we couldn’t be more excited for the future of our brands as we implement more sustainable and innovative elements into all of our product offerings.

  5.  A team of suppliers committed to revolutionizing industry practices. Our suppliers help keep LS&Co. going with sustainable practices and allow our products to get from our factories to our stores in responsible ways. We’re thankful for folks like Sanjay Mishra, who help keep sustainability at the forefront of our global supply chain, as well as the factories and workers who partner with LS&Co. in implementing fair and safe practices for people and the planet.
