Love is resilient.
In light of this week’s tragedy in Orlando, Florida, we stand with the victims, families and the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in solidarity and love in the face of hate. It’s not only the right thing to do, it’s part of our DNA.
Levi Strauss & Co. is motivated to be a force for change and we are heartened by the progress we’ve seen. But there’s still much to do. There are laws to be changed and hearts and minds to be won. We won’t stop until there’s equality for all, and silence is not an option.
In response to the tragedy, the company is giving a $25,000 grant to Equality Florida, the state’s largest organization dedicated to securing full equality for Florida’s LGBT community. The grant will support victims and their families.
Standing up to discrimination and hate is a hallmark of Levi Strauss & Co. Our hearts go out to the LGBT community everywhere, and our support will not waiver.
