Last fall, in honor of being named to the Fortune Change the World list for 2017, Levi Strauss & Co. gave grants to five employees who had bold ideas of their own for creating change.
Dominique Durward, retail training and development manager at LS&Co., was one of those aspiring changemakers – and recently, she put her plan into action for a group of high schoolers in Cape Town, South Africa called the Ukhozi Girls Club. The girls were encouraged to soar like eagles – ukhozi – and be fearless in their journey to realizing their dreams through a series of workshops in partnership with the nonprofit Tomorrow Trust and author Brent Feinberg,
