While we continue to deal with the uncertainties and risks of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is especially critical to provide safe, accessible, and secure voting to all eligible voters. Levi Strauss & Co. is working to help ensure broad participation in the remaining primaries and the general election in the U.S. this November. Voters should not be forced to make a difficult choice between their health and safety and exercising their right to vote.

This is why it’s more important than ever that voters start thinking about making a voting plan to get prepared for Election Day on November 3.

Here’s a look at all the ways the company is committed to making sure employees and consumers in the U.S. feel prepared, educated and ready to vote on (or before) November 3.

Register and Get Informed

The first step is getting registered — check out our Rock the Vote resource hub where you can register online, check your status and find out how the pandemic may be affecting elections in your state.

Supporting Our Community Partners

LS&Co. and the Levi Strauss Foundation together are providing $2.6 million to 22 organizations across the U.S. that are working to remove barriers and improve access to the polls, mobilize voters in marginalized communities and engage young voters in the democratic process.

From Students Learn Students Vote, which is working to protect or place polling locations on college campuses, to She the People which has an ambitious goal to register 1 million women of color – the 22 organizations are working in cities across the U.S. to ensure every eligible voter can cast their ballot safely on Election Day.

Additionally, the Levi’s® brand will give voice to many of the thought leaders heading these organizations through its #UseYourVoice LIVE series to spread voter education and engagement while highlighting ways to reduce obstacles and drive voter turnout.

Taking Voting to Consumers

In addition to the #UseYourVoice series, the Levi’s® brand is also offering a range of men’s and women’s Vote product for voters to customize with their own messages of action. Now you can show your style and send a powerful message – check it out here.

All of this is being brought together digitally through the brand’s #VoteAboutIt campaign, shifting consumers from just talking, posting and thinking about the issues they care about to actually taking action and “voting about it.” In partnership with Rock the Vote, Levi’s® efforts will encourage people to register to vote and help them navigate the political process before, during and after Election Day.

Making Time to Vote

No American should have to choose between working and voting. That’s why we’re a founding member of Time to Vote — an initiative to help ensure that employees don’t have to choose between voting and earning a paycheck. Currently more than 580 companies have joined, but we’re hoping to reach 1,000 companies by Election Day.

Powering the Polls

America is in the midst of a nationwide poll worker shortage, and the consequences have already been felt in recent primaries with reduced polling locations, long lines, and voters waiting in line for several hours. Most poll workers are over the age of 60, and in the era of uncertainty caused by the coronavirus, fewer are signing up for the job.

That’s why we teamed up with Power the Polls to help recruit 250,000 people to sign up to be election workers or volunteers to keep all polling sites safe, readily open, and available for delay-free in-person voting.

Remember, on November 3, your vote is your voice. Make sure you use it.
