At Levi Strauss & Co., we’ve made a long-standing commitment to increase gender diversity and representation at the highest levels of our organization.

As part of this work, each year, we celebrate the empowerment of all women and offer a safe space for our employees to discuss and learn from one another. This year, we centered on the theme of “Seen, Heard & AMPLIFIED,” where we tackled the conversation on the development of female, trans and non-binary talent in our organization.

Through powerful keynote speakers, panel discussions and workshops, we emphasized to employees that when women rise up and make their voices heard, not only do we all benefit from their ideas and contributions, but we pave the way for other women to be seen and heard as their full selves.

“Over the decades, we have continued to make huge strides forward in professional, personal, and political realms thanks to the relentless hard work and perseverance from all women and allies every step of the way,” our Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer Elizabeth A. Morrison said. “Although this conference was open to employees of all identities and backgrounds globally; it’s critical that we allow room for our women and female identifying employees from a variety of countries and walks of life to share their authentic stories as part of this important, ongoing conversation.”

Women now make up 58% of our global workforce, which is a reason why this summit is so important, and an opportunity to inspire and empower our most dominant employee population.
