What attracted you to LS&Co.?
I was looking for a West Coast adventure and hoping to work for a great consumer brand. I had applied for jobs at a coffee company in Seattle, Washington, and a footwear company in Portland, Oregon. LS&Co. wasn’t on my radar — until I had an incredible experience at the Levi’s® store at the Mall of America. Afterward I had to look where Levi’s® was based. It met my West Coast adventure criteria and it was a great consumer brand, so I applied. The rest is history!
What does success look like in your job?
Supporting and amplifying all of the talent that built Beyond Yoga® into a $100 million brand, a milestone very few brands achieve. I’m excited to meet all of the teams, roll up my sleeves and do whatever it takes to achieve many more milestones with the brand in the future.
What is your go-to LS&Co. product?
The Levi’s® 501® jean today, but who knows, maybe eventually the Beyond Yoga® Spacedye 501® jean? Or maybe I should stick to working in Excel instead of coming up with new products . . .
What’s one thing that no one would guess about you?
I may have manifested this Beyond Yoga® opportunity into reality. I’ve been doing yoga for the last 365 days because I wanted to be able sit cross-legged on the floor with my kids. I still don’t look very comfortable sitting cross-legged, but I can do it.
Are you a morning or night person?
I am definitely a morning person! My alarm is set for 5 a.m. every day, but most days I wake up before it even goes off. I need the world to myself for a few hours before the kiddos get up, yesterday’s comp sales are available and the emails start rolling in. Good luck reaching me after 9 p.m. though — once the sun goes down I can fall asleep standing up.
