This summer, Levi Strauss & Co.’s Fostering Influential Talent (F.I.T.) internship program welcomed 21 interns, all ready to bring their fresh perspectives to departments across U.S. and Canada, from brand marketing and design to operations, HR and beyond.
As part of the 10-week, fully immersive program, interns are placed in different departments and teams throughout the company and given a project that dives into that aspect of the business, giving them a taste of what it’s like to work at LS&Co. Each intern presents their unique findings to LS&Co.’s executive leadership team at the end of the program.
It’s not all work and no play, however. The program includes tours of LS&Co.’s Eureka Innovation Lab, the LS&Co. Archives and Levi’s® Stadium, as well as a trip to the Levi’s® Market Street store in San Francisco. Interns are also treated to our signature Denim in Blanc party after their project presentations to celebrate their hard work.
“We’ve designed the intern experience to encapsulate the essence of working at LS&Co. — a balanced blend of knowledge acquisition, practical involvement and, of course, fun!” said Lindsay Yang, global head of Talent Acquisition. “Our interns undertake engaging projects, develop lasting connections and gain critical insights, all while contributing to our vibrant and dynamic work environment.”
Beyond being a way for interns to learn more about LS&Co., our intern program is also an important pipeline of early career talent for us. In fact, close to 75% of interns that are offered full-time positions accept and return after graduation.
