Get to know our new and recently promoted leaders at Levi Strauss & Co. through these Quick Qs. Meet Brian J. Miller, our new Chief DE&I and Talent Officer.
What did you do before joining LS&Co.?
Before joining LS&Co., I had the privilege of working with and building exceptional teams, with an undeniable commitment to an integrated approach to talent and customer success. Most recently, I was a senior partner and head of the Chief People Officer Practice at Modern Executive Solutions, where I led both HR executive search and HR strategy solutions.
Before that, I served as Adobe Systems’ first Chief Talent, Diversity and Inclusion Officer, overseeing a team of more than 400 employees. Prior to Adobe, I was the Chief People Officer at Impossible Foods, and before that, I was vice president of Talent, Development and Inclusion at Gilead Sciences.
Throughout my career, I’ve been driven by a deep belief in seeing the possible, creating solutions that matter and delivering tangible business value.
What attracted you to LS&Co.?
I know it might sound cliché, but what drew me to LS&Co. is its rich history, ambitious growth goals and the smart, passionate people who make it all happen. This is a special company that stands out for its commitment to quality, excellence and creating a sense of belonging. The opportunity to help LS&Co. reach its full potential is not just attractive — it’s genuinely exciting to me.

- Unity: Building a strong sense of cohesion, alignment and belonging within the team.
- Nimbleness: Cultivating a mindset that embraces adaptability, passion and perseverance so that we can respond quickly to changes and overcome obstacles.
I’m truly excited about the journey ahead, and I believe that when we work together as a great team, we can achieve truly great things. #GreatTeamsDoGreatThings!
