We are pleased to share that Levi Strauss & Co. has been included, for the fifth time in six years, in Fortune’s annual list of the World’s Most Admired Companies — ranking second among the top five apparel companies globally.
2024 was an eventful year for LS&Co., marking milestones that ranged from the successful onboarding of new CEO Michelle Gass and expanding our executive and global leadership teams to introducing new collaborations and partnerships, including a new campaign with global icon Beyoncé. We also continued the momentum of becoming a direct-to-consumer (DTC)-first company with the expansion of 33 net new stores across the globe, connecting with consumers and the next generations through music and cultural moments. And we did all of this while bringing our values to life and embodying our profits through principles philosophy.
Fortune’s list was compiled by Fortune and Korn Ferry based on a survey of corporate reputation. First, candidates for the list (based on revenue) were scaled down from 1,500 to 650 in 30 countries. The top-rated companies were picked from that pool of 650. To determine the best-regarded companies in each industry, Korn Ferry asked executives, directors and analysts who work at the companies to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria sections, including:
- Innovation
- People Management
- Use of Corporate Assets
- Social Responsibility
- Quality of Management
- Financial Soundness
- Long-term Investment Value
- Quality of Products/Services
- Global Competitiveness
We are honored to rank among the world’s most admired companies, and we look forward to continuing to position our company as a best-in-class, DTC-first omnichannel retailer by providing the best service and products to our fans. As we begin 2025, we are confident we have the right strategies and leadership — including our new CEO Michelle Gass and expanded executive leadership team — in place to reach new levels of growth and continue to demonstrate the strength and resilience of LS&Co. and our brands.
