A Perfect Fit for the Levi's® Brand

You may have heard that we’ve just named a new president of Levi’s® brand: James Curleigh.

This was a critically important decision for us. And I want to tell you why I think James is the perfect fit for this iconic brand – and vice versa. If you’ve had the chance to hear him speak, and if you know anything about the Levi’s® brand, I think you’ll know what I mean.

James comes to us from Keen Footwear, where’s he’s president and chief executive officer. Keen’s a young company that, in a very short while, has had a significant impact on the outdoor industry. In fact, it’s one of the most innovative and fastest growing brands in that industry -- named by Outside Magazine in 2011 as one of the best places to work.

Keen has developed a following that is the envy of any shoemaker, as evidenced by the significant growth in revenue and focus on profitability under James’ leadership. He’s also helped bring Keen products to 60 countries around the world.

James’ approach to innovation really resonated with me. He’s all about listening to consumers to understand what they want, and then delivering something that far exceeds their expectations.

To me, that sounds just like how this company got started. Levi Strauss and Jacob Davis invented the blue jean, giving miners and other hard workers building the American West the perfect pant to wear on the job. And we’ve continued our product innovation to grow Levi’s® into an iconic brand that is more relevant today than ever before.

James’ business philosophy aligns perfectly with the Levi’s® brand. In addition to fostering innovation and building great teams, he has a strong commitment to the environment, embracing a sustainable approach to business. And he has a demonstrated record of giving back to the community.

As I said, a perfect fit.

I’m excited to bring James to the Levi’s® brand and to Levi Strauss & Co. I believe his fresh approach to business will inspire us to break new ground and continue to grow the brand. And I believe the people of Levi’s® are just the ones to welcome him and show him how we’ve gotten to where we are today.

You lost a faithful customer when you discontinued your Men's Carpenter Loose Straight Jean. I have not bought a Levi's product since and do not plan on buying any in the future unless those jeans are made available again. Take a cue from JCPenny and listen to your customers.

Brendan B (not verified) - May 07 2013
I cant believe i just came upon this today. My wife has looked for these jeans for me because I only have one pair left that havent been completely torn up. The heels are just beginning to shred so i'm in need of more so i can wear to work. PLEASE bring these back. I can't wear those tight fitting types that are the current fad. I need to be able to breath.

Jared Harris (not verified) - May 03 2013
Levi carpenter jeans were the only Jean I wore for years. I don't usually write blogs or express my feeling about clothing , but I am at a loss for work jeans. I bought six pair when I found out that they were being discontinued and they have been gone for it seem like years. Please bring them back, and let's make Levi Strauss a trend setter and make them in the states. I've noticed that the your jeans don't last as long as they used to. Bring some quality back to your product and make them at home. I know many people that will pay extra for the made in the USA tag.

Why on earth did you quite making the Levi's carpenter loose straight jeans? My husband is fairly hard to fit & has trouble finding a jean he both looks & feels good in. These jeans were it but his are worn out and I searched high and low trying to get a pair in his size to no avail! So hoping to see these jeans again!!!!

Steven Ferreira (not verified) - Apr 29 2013
I too, along with my Parents have spent thousands of dollars on Levi's . This is the only pair of jeans I have worn since Highschool!!! I also want you to bring back my CARPENTER Jeans PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!! P.S. It's been a long long time since Highschool and to this day Levi's are the only pairs of jeans you will find in my wardrobe.

zoe (not verified) - Apr 26 2013
no need to add to what has been said before by others here. please bring back the old loose, straight carpenter jeans, exactly as they were, except maybe with heavier material..

Brandon (not verified) - Apr 25 2013
I would also like to voice my displeasure with the company for doing away with the carpenter Jeans. They have been all I wore for over 7 years and my last pair just ripped out. So I tried your suggestion of trying the 569's, and they do not even come close to fitting the same. Not to mention the obvious lose of pockets. Please bring them back.

Tammy (not verified) - Apr 24 2013
Another emphatic vote to bring back the original carpenter Jean!!! They simply look great for casual wear as well as for work. This customer would be back to Levi's in an instant!

Lee (not verified) - Apr 23 2013
I am a 40 year old man and need jeans that are for working in. I really like my Levi carpenter jeans. I am wearing my last pare with so many holes my wife keeps trying to throw them away. Please make them again I need jeans that look and feel good. Last along time. Also, you should market the phone pocket. One reason why I like these jeans so much. My Iphone slips right in.

Craig (not verified) - Apr 22 2013

Please bring back the carpenter jeans - my last pair just ripped out and the wife won't let me wear 'em anymore.

Editor's note: Thanks for your note. I'll definitely share it -- along with all the others we've received -- with the Levi's® brand team.

Chris (not verified) - Apr 21 2013

I love my loose straight carpenter jeans. They are simply the best work all purpose jean. They always fit great when you put them on, keep you comfortable and those pockets serve a purpose. I have purchased the Levi signature carpenter sold at Meier here in Michigan but they are not quite the same, close but not the same as the carpenter loose straight silver button jeans that I have had for several years. I agree with the comments that others have posted on this site, Levi is missing a particular market out there that loves this style of jean. I hate skinny jeans, pre ripped torn jeans, I don't need to show crack every time I need to bend over or squat to pick something up. I can wear out the jeans myself with all of the yard work, construction and heavy duty physical work that I put these jeans through. I too have scoured the four corners looking for this particular style of jean. I would say this particular style of jean is far superior to other brands that have attempted to imitate this style and look. Bring back the loose straight carpenter and working men like myself will rejoice and gladly pay for that function and comfort these jeans offer. Besides as a company listen to your customers, you have a following and a market for this certain type of jean. Please bring the loose straight carpenter back otherwise I will spend my money elsewhere as clearly many others are doing already because my Levi silver button loose straight carpenter jeans are impossible to find!

Editor's note:  Hi, Chris, and thanks for your comment. I will pass along your passion for the Carpenter jeans to the Levi's® brand team. We've had quite a few Carpenter fans comment, and I've shared almost all of the comments with the brand. Fingers crossed!

Phillip (not verified) - Apr 16 2013
I too have to scour eBay to find the Levis carpenter jeans I love so much. If Levis will not bring them back I will never buy any of their products again. Looking at all the skinny jeans on their website makes me want to puke. Real men don't wear that crap. I work with about 500 guys at a mill and I've never seen one of them wear skinny jeans. BRING BACK THE CARPENTER JEANS!

Bill Stafford (not verified) - Apr 13 2013
I have already sent out an email about bringing back the old style loose fit carpenter jeans. They were the only jeans on the market that fit right and looked good. The reply I got back was there were not enough sales to keep the style. I disagree, you just did not market the jean style the right way. The blue collar working man needs a jean the will fit comfortable and last and theses jeans did the job but I found out about them by word of mouth, I never seen them advertised and as a matter of fact I don't see a lot of Levi ads any where, What happened did you guys get comfortable and complacent. I can tell you without a doubt in my mind if you bring back these jeans and market them the right way they will be flying off the shelves, not just to the working man but anyone who wants to look good and have a pair of jeans that just feel right. You need to have versatility, not everyone can or wants to wear skinny jeans, and not everyone wants to wear carpenter jeans so you need a blend to satisfy everyone not just the few. Marketing will be the key to the jeans success no matter if they are skinny or carpenter so all you have to do is slip on a pair of your old style loose fit carpenter jeans if you can find a pair maybe on ebay and let the jeans speak for themselves. Bring back the jeans you will not be disappointed, and if you need help getting into the head of the person who wants to wear them let me know and I will help in anyway I can to get these jeans back Flying Off The Shelves!!!! Thanks for your time, Bill Stafford

Hayes (not verified) - Apr 11 2013

FYI.. Since you no longer sell these jeans, I hear most people are going to your leading competitor carharrt since they still make the carpenter jeans with all pockets. Why would you want such dedicated buyers buying some other company's products? Just bring them back, promise they will sell like crazy

Editor's note: Hi Hayes, and thanks for your comment. You're right, we're not eager for our consumers to go elsewhere. I will share your comment with the Levi's® team.

Angela (not verified) - Apr 11 2013

This must be a joke! My husband wears the levis carpenter jeans EVERYDAY! I have been searching for them in stores and online... Impossbale to find them other than used on eBay! For the working men that use all the pockets and have the perfect fit it nearly impossbe in any other brand! Why would you discontinue this when clearly it's so loved. Please bring them back. They obviously are making you money since everyone on here is so enraged about not being able to purchase them! Bring them back for the "true" American working men!!!!!

Editor's note: Hi Angela, and thanks for your comment. I will share it with the Levi's® team. Consumer feedback can make a difference in determing what products we make, and we've had quite a few comments like yours about the Carpenter jeans.

Enter Your Name (not verified) - Apr 09 2013
Please bring back the original carpenter. I bought 10 pairs for my hubby a couple of years ago and he is down to the last pair . I absolutely hate the so called generic replacement. I guess it is time to find a new brand.

Tony (not verified) - Apr 04 2013
I highly doubt that if you discontinued or changed any of your other styles that you would get an outcry like this. It is obvious that working men need this jean and stick to it. I am one of those men, it is the only jean I wear. You should validate this extreme loyalty by not only bringing back the old style, but enhancing the quality. Fix the splitting at the back pockets! A quality american company would listen to it's customers needs and satisfy those needs to earn a good reputation. Please do not be a fickle, bottom line corporation that follows trends. These men do not follow trends, and now they cannot find jeans! We need jeans we can stand by, and we are counting on you to stand by us!

Ryan (not verified) - Mar 31 2013
Discontinue the multiple styles of skinny jeans and bring back the carpenter jeans. Complete joke that a pair of yellow skinny jeans can be bought. Will never spend a dime with Levi's until they bring back a decent pair of MEN's jeans .

Matthew Corn (not verified) - Mar 21 2013
Please, please, please bring back the loose fit carpenter jean. It's the only jean I will wear. I've turned to ebay and other sources for used jeans. What a shame. Listen to your customers and give them what they want!

bill l (not verified) - Mar 19 2013

i dont think you are getting the point editor what we want are 550 loose fitting levi carpenter jeans 569 does not cut it the old heavyweight 550's with right and left fob pockets were perfect and long lasting and comfortable

Editor's note: Hi Bill. Thanks for your comment. I will share it with the Levi's® brand. If you're able to find a Levi's® style that works for you, please note that they often come in different weights of denim, so you can choose what works best for you -- from lighter to heavier weights.

Ryan (not verified) - Mar 18 2013
I'm glad I'm not alone. I've just found out today you no longer make the original Carpenter jean anymore. This is a shock as I wear them every day for work and many outdoor activities. I have worn them my whole working career of 13 years for a phone company. I'm so disappointed because they were the perfect everyday jean with the extra pockets for a couple tools and my cell phone. I have no idea how I'm going to replace these. Sincerely, desperate for Carpenter originals. Help a brother out. Bring them back

Carl (not verified) - Mar 18 2013
I have finally wore out my last pair of the original carpenter jeans and can't find a suitable replacement in the Levi company. So I will not be buying any more products until they are brought back.

Andy (not verified) - Mar 18 2013
My last pair of carpenter jeans has now busted. I am so disapointed that you removed this style. This was the only jean that I really liked to wear.

Niles (not verified) - Mar 16 2013
PLEASE bring back the carpenter loose straight jeans. I have been wearing them for 15 plus years and i have only 2 pair left. i have tired other jeans and they just don't fit right or wear out so fast. If I wanted to wear slim or skinny jeans i would go shop in the girls section, but i don't . I want my carpemter jeans back just like every one else before me has blogged. You are losing alot of loyal customers for what, just so you can make a buck. You bring the real carpenter jeans back and i bet you will make your buck and more. i would buy 10 pair now and you would probably sell 1000's more. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN LEVI"S COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oliver Walker (not verified) - Mar 16 2013
Bring back the old carpenter jeans. They were perfect for me and am on my last pair. Rarely do I find jeans that fit the way these do. I can dress them up OR down. What are you guys thinking over there? Or were you thinking AT ALL?? Bring them back and you will bring me back as a customer. Don't and I will stay gone!!

Todd (not verified) - Mar 16 2013
I'm another vote for bringing back the carpenter jeans. I am a research scientist, and I use them in my work all the time, throwing pens, screwdrivers, rulers, even the spare laser now and again in the pockets. They were the most comfortable for work. Please bring them back

I also would like the original carpenter jeans back. I don't even care about the color, but the original color was just fine.

Andy (not verified) - Mar 10 2013
Please bring back the original carpenter jeans back. I have worn Levi's for close to forty years but have not bought another pair since you stopped making the carpenter jean. I have not found a comparable pair and would love to start buying them again.

Jamey (not verified) - Mar 10 2013
I to have to chime in and say PLEASE bring back the old loose/straight carpenter jeans. I would order 20 pair right off the bat. No matter what the 569 are not the same fitting. I have only worn the carpenter style for the last 10 years and I am literally down to my last pair which are about done with holes everywhere. My wife keeps yelling for me to buy more but I can't find anything that fits as well as these did. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!!!!!!!

Steve Crandall (not verified) - Mar 09 2013
I have been wearing Levi's jeans for over 30 years. I've had to endure changes in availability of my favorite styles, and my favorites have changed as I've aged. I've also watched as the quality of the denim used has dropped significantly. I still have jeans I bought 15 years ago (they no longer fit, so I haven't worn them in years) and I can compare them to the newer jeans. The drop in quality is noticeable from day one, not after several washes. The loose fit carpenter jeans were the last straw. I bought a pair a few years ago, and although the fit and style were exactly what I wanted, the thin denim contributed to their early demise. I decided to buy another pair or two (with some reluctance,) but now I find I can't replace them AT ALL. Please, a THOUSAND TIMES PLEASE, bring back the original, heavier denim, loose fit carpenter jeans. You can be sure that for every ONE person that bothers to post here, there are probably TEN more people who are thinking the same thing, and another ten who simply gave up the fight and just switched to another brand. To the brand managers at Levi's, I say WAKE UP and listen to your customers. I appreciate quality and I'm willing to PAY for it, but it "chaps my hide" to pay ANY amount of money for POOR quality.

Kathy (not verified) - Mar 09 2013
I have been looking for the original Levi Carpenter jeans MONTHS!! These are the ONLY jeans my husband will wear. We have tried many different types of Levis and he doesn't like any. PLEASE BRING BACK THESE JEANS looking through all of the posts Levi's you definately have the customers base to sell them.

Joe the Handyman (not verified) - Mar 09 2013
I have been reading these reviews, and they are all the same...bring back the original carpenter!!! Take the advise from us who use this product day in day out and not the design team that are focused on the latest trend! I have been a loyal Levi's wearer for over 40 years, but not being able to get my favorite jean anymore, that will have to change unfortunately! And no, I will not be trying the 569s as they do not have the carpenter details. Bottom line - please bring back the original carpenter!

David G (not verified) - Mar 07 2013
BRING BACK THE OLD CARPENTER JEANS. I want to throw money at Levi's but they won't listen to what I want. I don't care if you change the design a little as long as it fits the same way. The last design was absolute junk. If the new President, James Curleigh, is "all about listening to the customers", well then, we've made it very easy for you.

Billy (not verified) - Mar 05 2013
I found this while trying to find why I cant find loose/straight/carpenters any more! PLEASE BRING THE CARPENTER BACK!!!!!! I am a real man that needs those pockets for tools!

Jerome Phillips (not verified) - Mar 05 2013

The decline in quality of your product is just beyond belief. Levi's used to be as thick as Carhartt. Please bring back the old style carpenter jeans. also didn't you used to make your product in the USA?

Editor's note: Hi Jerome. Thanks for your comment. You may want to check the weight when you purchase your jeans. As you'll see on Levi.com, our jeans are often offered in more than one weight. You can choose a heavier weight if you prefer. Some folks prefer the lighter weights. Yes, we did -- and do -- make product in the U.S. With consumers in 110 countries and to compete in a global market, we also make product in a number of countries around the world.

phillip (not verified) - Mar 03 2013
All I want is for levi's to start making the old cargo they use to. From the blogs i've read a lot of guys feel this way. By far my favorite jean and now I can't get them any more. Please bring them back. They will sell.

Greg Franklin (not verified) - Mar 01 2013
I too loved the old carpenter jeans. You cannot find anything like them the tool pockets on both sides made them unique and extremely practical, I wore them for work and everyday. Please bring them back, I'm down to my last pair and I've just about wore holes in them.

Ethan (not verified) - Feb 28 2013
I am so glad that I found this site and these comments. I really don't normally do this but I feel so strongly about the old style of carpenter jeans that I had to put in my two cents. As a kid, about the only poster that I had hanging on the wall was one of miners bringing cartloads of Levis jeans out of a denim mountain. Needless to say, Levi jeans were the only brand that I would wear. For 35 years, Levis remained the only brand for me. I tried different styles, 501s, 460s etc but the only style that felt as comfortable as nothing I have worn before were the old style carpenter jeans. They were incredibly comfortable in fact. There was room in the seat, thighs and ankles not to mention big pockets that would actually hold something. I put up with the corners of the pockets tearing away and the material become thin around the knees after many, many washes but now I can't find them because you no longer make them! I am down to my last two pair. One pair is being held together with thread and patches and the other pair I hate to wear because they are eventually going to fall apart too. As a poor, but better than nothing, subsititute, I have swallowed my pride and devotion to Levis and started buying Lee carpenter jeans. Yes, they are nowhere near as good as your old style but they are better than what you are putting out there now. As a company trying to make money, I know that you need to progress forward with change and new ideas. But do you really need to do that at the cost of alienating your loyal customers who have been with you for 20-30 plus years? Please consider bringing back the old style carpenter jeans.

cori (not verified) - Feb 23 2013
I discovered the lack of Levi's carpenter jeans around Christmas time. I went to the department store to purchase Levi's carpenter jeans for my husband, as that is all that he will wear, but to my disappointment - I couldn't find any! And, then learned that Levi's is no longer making them. Dear Mr. Bergh & Mr. Curleigh: Clearly there is a demand. Perhaps you could create a supply? Dear editor: Folks that wear carpenter jeans, wear them for the "carpenter details", so while we all appreciate your suggestion of the 569, I don't think you understand the point of the carpenter jean.

Ron (not verified) - Feb 02 2013

Yep. I must pile on. I've only wore Levi's almost my whole life. Bring them back or you'll lose another customer. I've never looked for another brand in 40 years. If I find another brand that I like, it may be another 40 years before I come back. I'm a loyal customer....as long as the service or product stil meets the original quality. You have forced me to look elsewhere. It was a good ride, now it's over.

Jon Mammenga (not verified) - Feb 01 2013
Hello, I have worn the old stype Levis Carpenter jeans for a very long time and absolutley loved them. The new style Levis carpenter jeans totally missed the mark on being even a close replacement. I have been a loyal Levis customer for a long time. I tried on the new style carpenter jeans and they don't evenr come close to fitting and the look of them is way off. I can't wear them. I turned to the 569 and they have been pretty good until my last trip to the store for a new pair to replace the worn out one. I tried on the same color and size 569 jeans and they fit totally different. What happened? Alot may say check your weight by my weight and build hasn't changed in years. The thighs and butt are tight and the waist is big. I was so confident in the 569 originally that I didn't evern try them on....just went into the store where I always get them and grabbed the size, model and color I normally get. NOw I have to drive back and figure out what I am going to do. PLEASE bring back the old stype carpenter jeans and quit changing how the Levis brand fits. I hate the trend to skinny jeans.

Keith (not verified) - Jan 27 2013
I see that you're pushing the 569 jeans, but it's not an acceptable substitute, I know I've owned some. Today's jeans are now coming equipped with small pockets that are useless, especially if you have normal size or larger hands. If I did manage to put something in there, (big IF), I'd never get it back out unless I took off the jeans first. How about something with nice deep pockets, hmmm, like the original carpenter jeans maybe, and something made with a quality denim that won't fall apart after a couple of washes, like say, the original carpenters, and something with plenty of leg room would be a great feature, like, I don't know, maybe the Original Carpenters! You can't get quality off the shelf anymore; you have to special order it off the website??? I like to be able to try something on before I commit money to it, yeah I'm sure I could always send it back if didn't fit right, but it's a major inconvenience. Oh I'm sure their saving a few cents in material by thinning the denim and shortening the pockets, and even making the legs fit tighter, BUT they're also losing loyal Levi's customers. I'm done with Levi's until they can get their act together. Final note: Skinny jeans should be banned in all 50 states and U.S. territories.

Chris.. Landscape Contractor (not verified) - Jan 27 2013
I am so frustrated ! I have probably purchased 50 original carpenter jeans.. There is nothing out there that can replace these comfotable quality work jeans. I purchased a couple used pairs on ebay around $46 each.. Only one pair was descent... Come on guys do u need a brick to hit u in the head.... Start making them again.. raise the price, we don't mind paying more for quality ! Chris

Kyle Munz (not verified) - Jan 26 2013
So how many more comments do you guys need before bringing back the Carpenter Jeans?

Suzette (not verified) - Jan 23 2013

My husband has been wearing Levi's Loose Straight Carpenter jeans on a daily basis for over ten years, absolutely refusing to wear anything else. We have always purchased 6 to 7 pairs at a time, as the quality and durability is beyond compare; however, he's now down to the last 5 pairs of the 40+ we've purchased over the years and desperation has set in. The knock-off Levi's Signature carpenter jeans from Wal-Mart proved to be an unacceptable substitute, due to the cheap-looking wash and inferior quality. I recently purchased a pair of the new version of the carpenter jeans, which he refuses to wear, because he insists they look like "stretchy girl jeans," and the small cell phone pocket is useless. Sadly, after all these years, our only option at this point is to try to find another brand of carpenter jeans. So, along with all the other longstanding, loyal ORIGINAL Loose Straight Carpenter jean fans, we implore you, Levi's, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE consider bringing back the old, tried-and-true, much-loved ORIGINAL version of the Loose Straight Carpenter jeans -- you won't regret it!!!

Editor's Note: Hi Suzette, and thanks for your message. I will definitely pass it along to the Levi's® brand team. I'm told the 569™ has the same fit as the previous carpenter, just not the "carpenter details." And it comes in various denim weights, one of which may work for your husband. Thank you again!

Keith Wilson (not verified) - Jan 20 2013

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one. I loved the loose fit carpenter jeans. They were AWESOME! I work almost everyday of the year. With two jobs (needed in todays economy), I need jeans that are comfortable and long lasting. I used to buy a new pair every 3-6 months. I stopped being able to find them. I need the extra pockets for tools while on the job. The "cell phone pocket" in the last iteration (which I own two pairs of) really isn't good for much except perhaps a writing utensil, a ruler, or a set of earbuds (what I use it for). After searching for the jeans I wanted, but was unable to find anywhere, I finally broke down and bought two pairs of that last kind of carpenter pants. All my life, I have worn Levi's jeans, and the loose fit carpenters were the most comfortable, jeans I had ever owned. That is why I purchased 20 or so pairs of them over the approximately 5 years that they were available. Since 2009, when I was no longer able to find them on store shelves in my area, I've purhcased two pairs of pants (the newer, much less comfortable, much less usable carpenters). I've always loved Levi's, but I'll have to start looking elsewhere if I can't find a pair of jeans from your company that aren't based on a pair of skinny jeans, and actually have some pockets and pocket space.

Editor's note: Hi Keith, and thank you. I'll share your feedback with the Levi's® brand team, so they know how you've used the jeans and why the carpenter fit worked so well for you.

Paul (not verified) - Jan 18 2013

I just returned the Levi 569 "girl" jeans I got for Christmas and will never buy Levi jeans again. I noticed the denim getting thinner over the last few years, but now it's girl jean fabric! Complete with girl jean small pockets and a different cut. Maybe you should have considered a 669 metro man jean and left the 569 I have been buying for 16+ years alone!

Editor's note: Hi Paul, and thanks for your comment on the 569™. I'm sorry your new pair doesn't work for you. The 569™ does come in several different denim weights, so if your gift pair is lighter than you like, there are others available. Currently on the Levi's® website, I find weights ranging from nine to 12.8 oz. If the style doesn't work for you, then the weight won't help, but I wanted to at least share that information. Thank again for sharing your feedback.

dan ferrari (not verified) - Jan 16 2013

very unhappy with no carpenter jeans. So i should have to get used to a cheap knockoff from w.mart. Please bring back the last version of jeans. Just because h.wood or the runway doesn't give them props.doesn't mean there isn't an audience............working people. carpenter jeans ..........carpenter jeans ........loose straight carpenter.

Editor's note: Hi Dan. I've passed along your comment -- and others on this topic -- to the folks in the brand. One note that may be helpful to all is that the carpenter jean was based on the fit of the Levi's® 569™, and we still make the 569™. It won't have the carpenter details, but it should fit the same. Thanks for your comment.

Rodger (not verified) - Jan 16 2013
I have been a faithfull wearer of the Levi's carpenter jeans for as long as I can remember. Ther are many in the construction field that really enjoed the look and fit as well as the durability of the original carpenter jeans. I'm not aware of who's decision it was to discontinue these, but it certainly wasn't anyone who wears them. I think i speak for all of us with bigger thighs that we need these back!!. I too hope Mr.Curleigh will see this and re-consider the decision. I am not into wearing jeans that look like I borrowed them from my 15 year old daughter.
