Here at LS&Co., giving back is in our genes. Our founder, Levi Strauss, was a philanthropic pioneer, and instilled in our culture the importance of donating our time and resources to those in need.
Giving back is important to Levi Strauss & Co. year-round but during the Holiday Season, we turn up the volume on spreading joy in our global communities. The good karma created by our employees is sure to make 2015 a great year. Check out just a few of those examples below.
Hong Kong
Not afraid to have fun while volunteering, employees in Hong Kong hosted a game booth at the Children Cancer Foundation’s annual party. Employees played games with 400+ cancer survivors and their families, and handed out gifts donated by the Levi’s Marketing team in Hong Kong.
South Africa
In Cape Town, volunteers visited the Red Cross Children’s Hospital, where they brought in puzzles, books, stickers, bubbles and finger puppets that brightened the day of terminally ill children. Employees collected more than 100 presents which were handed out with Levi’s® gift bags to the kids by Santa Clause.
Korea
Employees spread messages of hope in Korea, where volunteers worked with the Gangdong Community Center to provide Levi’s® clothing, school supplies, and much needed food to local underprivileged children. Each gift was tied off with a personalized note of cheer from LS&Co. volunteers.
From San Francisco to Plock
Our employees like to shop – in Plock, Brussels, and San Francisco, more than 1,400 employees purchased hundreds of gifts for over 20 local nonprofits in their communities. What’s really unique? Our factory in Plock, Poland had almost 100% participation – more than 1,000 of their employees contributed to the donation drive.
Giving back is at the very core of LS&Co. and we look forward to a 2015 full of compassion and kindness.
